Fremont County begins to reopen as Phase 1 of the Fremont County COVID-19 Economic Recovery Plan is slated to start on Friday, May 15th.
Below are the details of the Fremont County Offices reopening following yesterday’s discussion amongst the Fremont County Commissioners.
FREMONT COUNTY OFFICES OPEN TO PUBLIC EFFECTIVE MONDAY, MAY 18, 2020 WITH THE FOLLOWING RESTRICTIONS IN PLACE, SPECIFICALLY FOR THE COURTHOUSE:
1) Entry is limited to the main double glass doors
2) Customers will be screened for illness prior to entering
3) Only 10 customers will be allowed in at any given time (Only 6 customers allowed between the County Clerk and County Treasurer’s Office)
4) Masks strongly recommended
5) Limit of one family member to conduct business whenever possible
6) 6’ social distancing requirements will be required
Per the Supreme Court, all Courts remain closed to the public until May 31, 2020.
We continue to encourage the public to contact various County offices via telephone or email to see if alternative options are available for their business needs rather than an in-person visit. The public may access the Fremont County website for contact information at www.fremontcountywy.org.
For the convenience of our customers, two drop boxes are available at the Courthouse: A large box will be located inside the double glass doors. This will accommodate larger envelopes and will only be accessible during regular business hours (Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm). An alternative box for smaller envelopes is located in the rear Courthouse parking lot which is available at all times.
We thank the citizens of Fremont County for working with us while we have been closed to the public.
