(Fremont County, WY) – At this point in the summer, Fremont County residents have become accustom to some wildfire smoke in the area originating from the western United States.
As of Wednesday afternoon however, some areas of the county, are seeing their highest levels of smoke in the air of the entire season so far.
According to Air Quality Index reports from IQAir, Riverton is currently at an “unhealthy” air quality level, while Lander and Fort Washakie are at “moderate” air quality levels.
According to IQAir, Riverton is currently at 9 times above the World Health Organization exposure recommendation.
IQAIR suggests running an air purifier and avoiding strenuous outdoor activities when smoke levels are this high.
