Fremont Co. lodging down in 2017
Wyoming Department of Administration and Information recently released their fiscal year-end numbers for Lodging Taxes collected.
In Fremont County, the results are mixed. Lodging taxes are an indicator of overall lodging revenue in the county, with the notable exception of the Wind River Indian Reservation stays. Those lodging nights are not subject to tax collections.
This annual data is pre-eclipse, as the state’s fiscal year runs July 1 – June 30. Data for July – November 2017 shows an increase of 6.8% in the county year-over-year.
A bright spot is the significant (60.0%) increase in Dubois lodging over the past couple years.
