Free food to feed 500 families coming to Riverton on Saturday

Over the last four weeks, Foundations for Nations Ministries has organized free food drives in Riverton for anyone in need. 662 families have been provided groceries during those four weeks, according to their recent Facebook post.

Foundations for Nations founders Jason and Sarah Lucas usually pick-up the food for the drives in Casper from the Food Bank of the Rockies. However, this coming Saturday, April 11th, the Food Bank of the Rockies is bringing a semi load of food to feed 500 families, Jason shared.

Foundations for Nations will be distributing the food starting at 1:00 pm on Saturday at 620 East Monroe. “We plan to utilize the local police to help direct traffic as we will be using both lanes of Monroe Ave. to get two lanes moving together,” Jason said.

As with all the free food drives, it is first-come, first-serve. They will be wearing face masks, gloves, and using social distancing protocol.
