(Shoshoni, WY) – Local bus line, WRTA, will pick folks up from the Sutherlands parking lot at 7 pm on Saturday, September 4th, for the Shoshoni Hot Summer Nights FREE blowout concert event featuring Full Blown Mosey from 8 pm to 1 am. The bus will make two trips back to Riverton – 11 pm and 1 am.
The Fremont County DUI Taskforce will be in full effect Labor Day weekend and offering free transportation between Riverton and Shoshoni was a top priority for event organizers Jordan Whitener and Chris Konija. Transportation within the town of Shoshoni is also available.
“We realize the last year of restrictions and event cancellations have limited the ability for people to enjoy typical summer activities. Shoshoni Hot Summer Nights started with the intention to provide community events for people to enjoy and with Labor Day weekend I felt it was imperative we do what we can to provide the ability for people to be able to fully enjoy the events with a plan to do so safely. That is the main factor behind the DUI task force is to ensure and encourage people to have fun, but do so safely and with a plan. With the help of WRTA we are honoring the goals safe and smart travel while providing a free ride to those who wish to attend.”– Shoshoni Chief of Police Chris Konija
Fremont Beverages will have a trailer at the concert and will be selling adult beverages. Organizers hope to have a variety of food trucks and vendors as well.
Before the concert check out all of the activities happening in Shoshoni from 11 am to 6 pm – car show, cornhole, dunk tank fundraiser for Fremont County Search and Rescue, DJ Raven will be playing music, door prizes, the Shoshoni Volunteer Fire Department will be set up and demonstrating fire safety techniques, local vendors and more.
