Fort Washakie School announces plan to release Shoshone Language app

    Fort Washakie School has announced they’ll be hosting an app launch party Wednesday, January 23rd to celebrate the creation of a Shoshone Language app.

    The app will let anyone with an iPhone, Android device, or computer download it and learn different words and phrases. Games and quizzes will be available inside the app to assist the user in the learning process.

    All of the app details will be released at the launch party Wednesday inside Fort Washakie Junior High School.


    A dinner of stew and frybread will be served between 5:00 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. The app presentation follows beginning at 6:00 p.m. and a mini powwow celebration follow at around 7:00 p.m.

    You’re encouraged to bring your own device to download the app. “Tech gurus” will be on site to help with any questions or assistance.
