    Former Wolverine breaks Chadron State 200 meter dash record

    Former Riverton High School Wolverine athletic standout Brodie Roden is now getting some attention at the next level.

    Roden competes in track at Chadron State College in Nebraska. Last weekend, the CSC Eagles were competition at a meet in Brookings, South Dakota and Roden ran the 200 meter dash in 21.59 seconds.

    That is the fastest a Chadron State athlete has ever ran the 200 meters, eclipsing the previous record of 21.76 seconds.

    Roden also posted Chadron’s second fastest time, ever, in the 400 meter dash at the meet. Roden’s mark in the event was 48.13 seconds, the fastest all-time for the Eagles is 47.22.

    Roden and Chadron State compete at the Stinger Open at Black Hills State this Saturday. The RMAC Championships are set for February 28-29.
