Former Lady Tiger Macy Jacobson wins third straight golf tournament for CWC ladies

Freshman Macy Jacobson won her third straight tournament as the Rustlers took first place at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado.  Teammate, Sam Prom, finished just three strokes behind Jacobson to take second place.  Rustlers Nicholynne Garbutt finished third and Lexi Cornell finished fifth.   “Macy played really well with scores of 80-78 to lead the team with Samalie only a few shots behind. It was a really good week for the ladies, as Kaylee Smith broke into the 90’s with a 98, and Ariana Curtis and Makayla Waldock dropped their scores,” said Coach Holgate.

Cameron Carter and James Bisiar tied for the low man this week with total scores of 152, putting them tied for 10th overall. James came out and fired 72 the first day and had some struggles on the second day.  Cameron was pretty steady with two rounds in the 70’s.

“The men’s team struggled this week dropping to 5th place. It wasn’t a very good showing for us this week, we had good practices and good scores in our qualifiers, but couldn’t put it together on game day.”  -Coach Holgate
