Dr. Hills, a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon, has been in practice since 2009 and specializes in adult spine surgery.
Dr. Hills received his undergraduate degree from Northern Arizona University. He received his medical education from Midwestern University, Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine.
During medical school, he was commissioned as an Officer in the United States Army following the events of September 11, 2001. Dr. Hills received his orthopaedic surgery training at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington.
His military career continued at Fort Benning, Georgia where he provided orthopaedic surgical care to the Army’s Rangers, Infantry, and Armor soldiers and their families. He deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 as the orthopaedic surgeon with the 31st and 115th Combat Support Hospitals in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
After his military service, Dr. Hills completed a Fellowship in Adult Spine Surgery at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. At Duke, he trained in minimally invasive spine and complex cervical reconstructive techniques. Dr. Hills, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, also provides general orthopaedic and fracture care.
Dr Hills’ practice is committed to accurate diagnosis, evidence based medicine, non-surgical conservative care, rehabilitation, and advanced surgical techniques.
