    Five from Lander, One from Riverton received Class 3A All-State Golf honors

    (Riverton, Wyo.) – At the conclusion of the Class 3A State Golf Tournament in Riverton, five high school golfers from Lander and one from Riverton achieved All-State status on the basis of their respective individual finishes this past Friday and Saturday.

    The State Champion Lander Valley Boys successfully defended its title and placed four golfers on the elite list. The second place Lander Valley Lady Tigers, the runner-up in Class 3A, placed one golfer on the All-State Team, along with one girl’s team member from Riverton.

    Boys second place Jaren Calkins (one over); Third place Dominic Yates (+15); Fifth place Wilson Brockie (+16) and Eighth place Gavin Dixon (+21), all from the LVHS Boys Team, plus the Lady Tiger’s Second place finisher Rachel Stoinski (+34)  and Fifth place Sierra Brubaker (+46) of Riverton.

    To receive an All-State honor, the high school golfers had to place in the top ten finishers of their respective class.
