Financial assistance payments to be mailed to Northern Arapaho Members; No in-person pickup

(Fremont County, WY) – On Monday, August 16th, the Northern Arapaho Business Council will mail financial assistance payments to every Tribal Member who applied. A $1,500 payment will be issued to each Member – regardless of age – and families may qualify for multiple payments, depending on the number of qualifying individuals living in the household.

Assistance payments will be mailed only and WILL NOT be available for in-person pickup at the Ethete Pow Wow grounds, as was initially planned. The decision to mail payments was made due to an increased spread of COVID-19 on the Wind River Reservation and the need to avoid having individuals congregate at the Pow Wow grounds. Members who missed the July 30th deadline to apply for funds will have another opportunity to seek financial assistance in September.

“We look forward to mailing these $1,500 financial assistance payments to Northern Arapaho Members,” said NABC Chairman Jordan Dresser. “The Business Council is hopeful these payments will make a difference in the lives of the Northern Arapaho people – help is on the way!”
