Final public hearing set for proposed County Commissioner line redistricting

(Fremont County, WY) – The Fremont County Commissioners recently held two (2) public hearings (April 5 in Lander and April 7 in Crowheart), concerning proposed redistricting of Commissioners lines.

Comments and suggestions were taken at both locations and by email.

From those meetings, it was decided the only lines to be adjusted will be in the Crowheart area, in the following capacity:

    1) Move the current Commissioner lines (between Commissioner Districts #1 and #2) in the Crowheart area from the river to Highway 26. Every voter situated North of Hwy 26 would be moved in Commissioner District #2 and voters situated South of Hwy 26 would remain in Commissioner District #1.

Public comment will be taken by written form (letter or email) or in person at the final public hearing, which has been set for Tuesday, April 19th, 10:00 AM, in the Commission Chambers at the Fremont County Courthouse.

Final Commissioner Districts will be made at this meeting.

Email questions or concerns to [email protected] or call 307-332- 1122, or any commissioner.
