FCSO gets therapy puppy; Seeks children’s help naming him

(Fremont County, WY) – The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office just added a new member to their team, a 10-week old male yellow lab puppy. He is in training to be a new therapy dog.

“He will assist victims while navigating the criminal justice system and while testifying,” shared Megan Brazil with the FCSO victim’s services. “You may see him out and about with us while he is in training.”

They are seeking children’s help naming the puppy. Below are the directions to help name him:

We have distributed cards you can fill out with our school resource officers, and the front desk at our Riverton and Lander locations. The naming competition starts today and will close next Wednesday 3/30. We will then look over the submissions and pick the one we feel is the best fit for our puppy! The child whose name is chosen will get to take a photo with the puppy and will win a prize! If you are unable to get to one of the locations where the cards are located please PRIVATE MESSAGE us your name, age, phone number, school attending and what you want to name the puppy. We are super excited about this little guy and we hope you are too! We hope everyone gives their puppies some extra love today!
