(Wind River, WY) – Fremont County School District #6 Wind River released a statement today, April 29th, announcing they have been approved for a mask variance for the remainder of the 2020/21 school year.
Wind River now joins Lander (FCSD #1) and Shoshoni (FCSD #24) in Fremont County schools that have been approved for mask variances.
FCSD #6 will continue to follow isolation and quarantine and other recommendations from public health officials, and if transmission levels in Fremont County increase, or an outbreak occurs within the school, this exception may be revoked.
FCSD #6’s Smart Start Plan is still in effect with regards to cleaning requirements, symptoms protocol, social distancing, hand washing, etc. As per Federal Executive Order No. 13998, all individuals on school buses are required to wear a mask.
