On Friday, December 11th at around 5:00 pm a fatal crash occurred on WY-137 (Rendezvous Road). The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) has released information on the crash today, December 14th.
A passenger car driving eastbound on Rendezvous Road entered into the “westbound lane overtaking an eastbound” SUV, according to the BIA report. The passenger car then “collided head-on in an off-set manner with a westbound” passenger car.
The BIA has identified the deceased as 67-year-old Cedrick Shakespeare. According to the report, there were 7 injured individuals in the crash and transported to local hospitals for treatment.
Driver inattention and a possible medical condition are being investigated as possible contributing factors.
UPDATE: The original post stated the crash was on Saturday, December 12th. The report from BIA lists both Friday and Saturday. The FCSO report states it was Friday, December 11th which is now reflected in the post.
