Fagnant, Lewis & Brinda, P.C., a well established CPA firm in Lander, has an immediate opening for a qualified, full-charge bookkeeper to provide a wide range of accounting services to our clients.
The successful candidate will be comfortable with a high-level of client interaction and training, possess excellent customer service and communication skills, and have a strong desire to work in a team environment.
The candidate must demonstrate proficiency with QuickBooks as well as basic general ledger accounting knowledge; must also and possess key competencies with Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook. Strong planning and organization skills as well as accuracy and attention to detail are required attributes. Minimum of 5 years related work experience is expected, preferably with a CPA firm.
A full-charge bookkeeper with our firm provides clients with a complete range of bookkeeping services, including A/R and A/P, bank reconciliations and adjusting journal entries. The position is also responsible for payroll processing, including new-hire reporting, employee set-up, payroll reporting and related government filings. This position may also be asked to prepare sales/use tax reports, handle IRS correspondence and year-end accounting entries for income tax preparation.
A national bookkeeping test will be administered to measure applicants’ knowledge of journal entries, payroll, and general bookkeeping concepts.
