The Lander march has been organized this year to raise community awareness on a multitude of societal issues spanning from human rights to domestic violence, and so many others. As well as the call for action within the local legislative branches, state, and also at national levels, shared organizer Cristina Gonzalez. “Change begins with you and with me, walking side by side, unified.”

“The march will continue long past Centennial Park – metaphorically speaking. Become active in your local and state politics by visiting your representatives’ website, Facebook page, Twitter account, however you engage,” Cristina said. “I want our young people to see that change begins with action, an articulate voice, and being present in your community.”
