Evanston resident killed in early morning rollover

    (Evanston, WY) – 60-year-old Evanston resident Craig A. Adkins died in a one-vehicle rollover around 4:30 am today, September 29th. The crash occurred near milepost 12.3 on US-189 north of Evanston.

    Driver fatigue is being investigated as a potential contributing factor, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol release.

    Their report states Adkins was driving northbound on the highway when he drifted to the left of the roadway and overcorrected which caused him to exit the road and overturn.


    He was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash. 

    This is the 86th fatality on Wyoming’s roadways in 2021 compared to 100 in 2020, 123 in 2019, and 86 in 2018 to date.
