    Emergency management coordinator named, trust distribution, and more this week

    (Fremont County, WY) – During the Fremont County Commissioners’ meeting this week, Vonda Huish was selected as the emergency management coordinator. She replaces recently retired Kathi Metzler.

    Their meeting also included the distribution of $18,000 from the 2021 Martha Petersdorf Hospital Trust as per the 1985 order. The distribution is as follows: $9,000 to the Reach Foundation for further distribution, $6,480 to the Lander Senior Center, $1,080 to the High Country Senior Center, and $1,444 to the Shoshoni Senior Center.

    Two applications were approved to be submitted to the Wyoming Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). The applications are for TANF’s Community Partner Initiative (CPI) Grants. The Greater Wyoming Big Brothers Big Sisters has requested $24,255 and the Boys & Girls Club of Central Wyoming – Riverton Branch requested $11,000.

    And finally, the Harris Bridge Road was discussed. Structure replacement project contractor’s application for payment #5, warranty and certificate of final completion were all approved.
