In loving memory, Edward (Eddie) Scerbo

Edward “Eddie” Joseph Scerbo, 58, passed away on April 9, 2021 in Casper, WY. He was born on October 5, 1962 in Hamilton, NY.

Eddie attended schools in Central New York. After graduating, he joined the United States Army, where he specialized in demolitions and spent time overseas. He then traveled to Washington state, Texas and Florida before settling near family in the Washington D.C. area. There, he began an adventure working in “high-steel” for Union Ironworkers Local 5. He always remembered his “brothers and sisters” in steel with great pride. He loved scuba diving, hunting, fishing, metal detecting and everything about the outdoors. This love for adventure led him to hook up his bass boat and head to Wyoming. Eddie had no “filter” and “made no excuses”. He loved his family but was happiest going on a “walkabout” to the lakes and mountains. He lived life to its fullest and encouraged others to do the same. He would tell people to take chances, enjoy life and “let the sun shine on your face”. He will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his adoptive father, Frederick L. Scerbo of NY, sisters Linda Stange (husband Bill) of WY, Rose O’Herien (husband Skip) of NY, Barbie Sell (husband Perry) of VA, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his mother Barbara Redina and her husband, Mark Redina, both of VA.

Services will be held at Bustard’s Funeral Home in Casper, Wy. on April 16th at 2pm. There will be a procession immediately following to the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery with military honors.
