East Park/North Federal Intersection Closes Thursday Morning for 5 days; East Fremont/North Federal Intersection to Reopen
Installation of water and sanitary sewer lines has reached East Park Avenue on the $13.96 million North Federal Boulevard project in Riverton, and a 5-day closure of the East Park/North Federal intersection begins at 7 a.m. Thursday.
All work is dependent upon favorable weather.
“All traffic that normally uses East Park Avenue, east of North Federal Boulevard, will be forced to find a different route beginning Thursday morning,” said Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer Robert Scheidemantel of Riverton. “We appreciate everyone’s patience. We realize East Park Avenue is a major east-west street in our city.”
The contractor plans to work in the East Park Avenue intersection Thursday through Monday, including Saturday, to complete installation of water and sanitary sewer lines, and a water main.
The East Park/North Federal intersection will reopen to traffic on Tuesday, May 8.
During the East Park closure, the East Fremont/North Federal Boulevard intersection will reopen to help citizens drive to areas east of North Federal Boulevard.
Citizens and businesses are reminded of the weekly public meeting at 10 a.m. Thursday in Riverton City Hall.
