    Earthquake reported 66 miles northeast of Riverton this morning

    A 2.9 magnitude earthquake was reported ~18 southwest of Ten Sleep and ~66 miles northeast of Riverton at around 3:00 am September 1st, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

    So far, there are no reports listed on the USGS website from folks in the area feeling the early morning shake. You can find more info and report if you felt it by clicking here.

    This is the second earthquake above a 2.5 magnitude in Wyoming within a week. On August 27th, a 3.3 magnitude was reported in southwest Wyoming. Click here to read our earlier post.
