(Dubois, WY) – The Dubois Chamber of Commerce posted the following notice on their Facebook page, Monday, June 28th:
Public Notice Firework Ban –
Under the current dry conditions, the Governing Body of the town of Dubois has determined that it is appropriate to declare a severe fire threat within the town limits, and have instituted a ban on personal use of fireworks. With dry conditions, the risk of fire danger is extremely high.
At this time, the town of Dubois public fireworks display is still planned since the Dubois Volunteer Fire Department will be on hand if needed. Weather conditions will be closely monitored so a decision can be made to proceed with the fireworks display or reschedule it to a safer time.
