Dubois Class of 2020 Commencement [VIDEO]

It was a first for Dubois graduates. The commencement ceremony was held outside, graduates and staff were seated the required 6 feet apart and only a limited number of family members could attend. However, even with these guidelines, it turned out to be a beautiful day.

The “National Anthem” was sung by Tessa Hust, while local Scout Troop 56 presented the colors. Principal Tad Romsa first addressed the graduates and their families, followed by a speech from Salutatorian Madison Sanchez. Next was Valedictorian Kellyn Chandler who gave a message to her class, reminding them to go forth and become someone who makes a difference in the world. This year’s commencement speaker was Rosey Graff who recounted many of the moments in each of the graduate’s school activities. Peggy Miller handed out the sanitized and wrapped diplomas.

A parade through downtown Dubois led by EMS, the Dubois Volunteer Fire Department, and local law enforcement followed the graduation.
