    Drought worsens across Wyoming

    The U.S. Drought Monitor recently released an updated drought map of Wyoming, and Fremont County is experiencing “Extreme Drought” in the eastern/central areas of the County.

    Even though Wyoming experienced a Labor Day snowstorm that dumped several inches in some areas of the County, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor “snowpack is poor” and “surface water for is inadequate for ranching and farming” in the “Extreme Drought” areas.
