Board-certified general surgeon expands access to surgery services in Fremont County
Fremont County, Wyo. (July 13, 2021) – SageWest Health Care is pleased to announce board-certified general surgeon Dennis Lewis, M.D. has joined its staff. Dr. Lewis is one of many physicians joining SageWest this year growing health care services close to home.

Dr. Lewis has more than 30 years of experience with surgical care including heartburn reflux surgery, hernias, colonoscopies, trauma and critical care, bariatric surgery, cancer care surgery, and general surgery. He joins SageWest from Southwest Memorial Hospital in Cortez, Colo. Dr. Lewis is certified by the American Board of Surgery and a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Dr. Lewis completed a bariatric fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, N.Y. and completed his general surgery residency at Greenville Hospital in Greenville, S.C. He earned his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Fla.
