Don’t miss what’s happening this summer at the Lander Art Center

This summer in Lander there’s a full schedule of events at the Lander Art Center! Over the past few months the Lander Art Center has been buzzing with activity, including poetry nights and the Open Clay Studio.

The Lander Art Center Members Show starts June 6 in Lander with the theme “Expressions Unlimited.”

The show is open to all Lander Art Center Members, working in all mediums. Art must be submitted by May 30 to be considered. (Applications are available online.)

This display will run through the July 4th weekend until July 12. It’s one of the busiest times of the year for Lander, meaning plenty of family and friends can come and see the amazing artwork of area artists, while enjoying the community.

June 29th is Summerfest, one of Lander Art Center’s biggest fundraisers of the year, featuring area artists and vendors, a duck derby, “Lander’s Got Talent”, and lot of other great activities.

Summerfest is fun for the whole family, so shop unique hand made items and artwork from local artisans, and get excited for the week of the 4th in Lander!

July 26th is when the Red Desert Audubon Art Show will begin, with applications open now for artists wanting to exhibit their work inspired by native Wyoming Flora and Fauna. (Applications are available online and are due July 10th.)

You can always support the Lander Art Center by donating directly, but from now until July 10th, if you donate through Lander Community Foundation’s Challenge for Charities, your donation will be matched by the Matching Fund Challengers.

The Lander Art Center has a tremendous impact on the cultural landscape of Lander and Fremont County. It is created by the community, for the community. Stop by 258 Main Street in Lander to see what’s going on, or how you can sign up for an upcoming class today!
