    Details on yesterday’s motor grader wreck on Red Canyon Road

    Fremont County Sheriff’s Office has shared the following statement about yesterday’s wreck:

    On May 20th 2020 at around 10:00 am a Fremont County motor grader was involved in a crash while working on Red Canyon Road. The operator was working in a narrow section of road that was under construction. It is believed that the newly formed shoulder of the road began to slough away sending the machine down a steep embankment rolling over 1 / 1/2 times. The operator was trapped in the cab of the machine and had to be extricated. The operator was transported by ambulance with several injuries, described as serious, but not life-threatening. Fremont County Road and bridge employees were able to right the machine and ensure no fluid or fuel leakage into the waterway below.

    The incident is under investigation and no additional details will be released until the investigation is completed.
