Help for Health Hospice, a not for profit organization, was the dream of Mary Neil, one of Fremont County’s citizens who witnessed a friend go through end of life alone, afraid and in tremendous pain. She felt no one should suffer like her friend, but Mary passed away before her dream was realized.
Help for Health continued the struggle for 6 years before finding the solution to raising the necessary monies….
The Hospice Home was the result of a capital facilities tax voted on and paid for by the citizens of Fremont County. In order to keep the promise of caring for EVERYONE who comes to them, regardless of ability to pay, the organization must hold fundraisers to cover the costs of that care. Even Medicaid, Medicare and most private insurances do not cover 100% of the expenses.
Thus, every year the Board of Directors, employees and volunteers of Help for Health hold a fundraiser, Denim and Diamonds, to make certain they can stay a viable organization and care for the final days of every Fremont County Resident for the years to come.
