(Riverton, WY) — Central Wyoming College (CWC) is pleased to announce student R Hamilton as the 2022 New Century Transfer Pathway Scholar.
Hamilton was selected from more than 2,000 applications based on her academic achievement, leadership, service, and significant endeavors. She received the highest score in Wyoming, and will receive a $2,250 scholarship.
“Ms. Hamilton is an extremely focused, hardworking young woman who refuses to be defined by her challenges, instead approaching her life with tenacity and vision,” says Dr. Coralina Daly, Vice President for Student Affairs, Central Wyoming College. “We are so excited to see what she will accomplish in the future.”
The New Century Transfer Pathway Scholarship program is sponsored by the Coca-Cola Foundation and the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, with additional support from the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) and Phi Theta Kappa.
Hamilton will be recognized at the Phi Theta Kappa President’s Breakfast during the AACC Convention on Monday May 2, 2022.
With a mission to transform lives and strengthen communities through learning, leadership and connection, Central Wyoming College offers two bachelor’s degrees, 58 associate degrees and 10 certificates. The college includes a main campus in Riverton, an outreach center and the Alpine Science Institute in Lander, as well as outreach centers in Jackson and Dubois.
