Central Wyoming College release:
The Lady Rustlers took the floor after three weeks of not playing in a collegiate game, against Northwest College on Wednesday. They lost their first home conference game 75-78. This was the first time all season the Lady Rustlers scored 75 points in a game and had moments where they looked like the team Coach Fearing believes they can be.
They had 3 players in double-digit scoring. Alex Terrazas finished with 21 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds. Siona Astorga finished with 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals. Maile Williams finished with 10 points. Edith Lutui and Alexxis Motisi finished with 8 respectively. As a team, the Lady Rustlers finished with 16 assists, 13 steals, and finally outrebounded a team! All Lady Rustlers had numbers in different categories.
Lindsey Fearing stated, “this is probably the best game we have had all year and it came after a two-week break with no practice, and 4 days of practice before we played Wednesday. This is a credit to how this group came back mentally and how they came together as a team. I’m very proud of what they did.”
Up Next: The Lady Rustlers travel to Western Wyoming Saturday, February 27. Tip off is set for 2pm. No fans are allowed, but you can catch the live stream here.
