    Cowgirls will welcome Tulsa to Laramie in WNIT second round

    (Laramie, WY) – The Wyoming Cowgirls continue postseason play Sunday afternoon as Wyoming welcomes Tulsa to the Arena-Auditorium for a 2 p.m., tip-off March 20 in the second round of the Women’s NIT.

    Sunday’s contest will be broadcast live on the Mountain West Network and can be heard across the Cowgirl Radio Network with Keith Kelley on the call.

    ABOUT THE COWGIRLS
    Wyoming (16-12) is coming off a thrilling 76-73 overtime win over Idaho State Thursday night in the WNIT’s opening round. Quinn Weidemann had a career-high 25 points in the victory as she hit 8-of-12 shots from the floor and tied a career-high by going a perfect 8-for-8 at the free-throw line. The eight made field goals also tied a career-best for Weidemann as it marked the fifth time in her career that she has eclipsed the 20-point mark in a game. With the 25 points, Weidemann moved into 21st on the all-time career scoring list in program history.

    Allyson Fertig and Alba Sanchez Ramos each added 14 points in the win while Fertig grabbed a game-best 11 rebounds, marking her eighth double-double of the season. Emily Mellema and Tommi Olson added eight points apiece against the Bengals. Olson hit a career-high four free throws on the night, including a pair with 31 seconds left that sent the game into overtime.
