    COVID cases continue to drop across WDOC facilities

    (Riverton, WY) – As of January 5th the Wyoming Department of Corrections is reporting only 12 active COVID-19 cases across all of their facilities. Here locally, the Wyoming Honor Farm in Riverton has 2 cases – 1 staff member and 1 inmate.

    The largest number of cases is coming from the Wyoming State Penitentiary (WSP) in Rawlins with a total of 9 cases; 8 of which are inmates. In addition, the Wyoming Medium Correctional Institution (WMCI) in Torrington is also reporting 1 case within their inmate population.

    The WDOC states that none of the inmate deaths to date are attributed to COVID-19.

    They continue working with the Wyoming Department of Health to monitor all COVID cases in accordance with CDC guidelines.
