    County offices to be closed Tuesday for the election; Last minute reminders issued

    (Lander, Wyo.) – On Tuesday, August 21, 2018 Primary Election Day, the Fremont County Courthouse and County buildings will be closed to allow the employees to help work the polls for the election. “Absentee ballots are due Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Courthouse to be counted and since we are closed, please use the drop box located in the back of the courthouse. Enter from the Amoretti Street side to access or call 332-1088 for assistance in dropping off your ballots. Do not have someone take them to the polls, they will not get counted there,” County Clerk Julie Freese reported via email Monday morning.

    The Sheriff’s office will NOT be closed as they are a 24-7 entity.

    All Election Precincts are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for this election. Freese said isa person is not registered and wish to vote, they can register and vote at the polls. “If you own a valid Wyoming Driver’s License you must present that ID to register to vote. If you do NOT own a valid Wyoming Driver’s License, be prepared to present the last 4 digits of your social security number AND another photo ID. If you don’t have these items please call the Election Office at 332-1088,” she reported.
