The Mullen Fire continues to spread across the Medicine Bow National Forest in Wyoming. As of Tuesday evening, it had burned over 82,000 acres and nearly 800 firefighters are working on the blaze, including a couple Fremont County crews.
Dozens of rural residents and businesses near Centennial, Rob Roy, Woods Landing and many other areas have been forced to evacuate and several have lost property.
The beautiful thing about Wyoming is that when one of our neighbors need help, we all show up.
So, we’re putting out a call for our 10’rs to lend a hand. The County 10 team will be accepting donations at our Riverton office Wednesday and Thursday, then delivering the supplies to some of those in need late this week.
Our office is located at 2255 Brunton Court in Riverton (drop-off through the entrance closest to the flag pole.)
We’ll be accepting donations here at these times;
- Wednesday, September 30th 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Thursday, October 1st 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Donations can be placed in the front lobby. We hope we’ll be able to assist everyone, but do have a small team and a big building!
A list of needed supplies can be found below. Additionally, we’d like to recommend writing a thank you card to a firefighter. This is a great activity for anyone, especially children!
We’ll make sure everything we get, gets delivered where it’s needed. Thank you in advance, County 10! If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail us: [email protected]
