Cooler temperatures, scattered showers, isolated thunderstorms in store for Monday

(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that a cold front moved through Fremont County yesterday evening, so now our area is sitting in a cooler air mass, which means much cooler temperatures for today, May 20.

A mid level circulation over Idaho and an upper level trough will be heading toward Wyoming today, so we can also expect cloudy skies and scattered rain showers, Lipson added, with possible isolated thunderstorms for far eastern Fremont County.

As that weather system draws closer to the area, we will most likely see steady rainfall tonight.

The National Weather Service in Riverton has also shared that tomorrow will see similar conditions, and that as we transition to that cool and wet pattern this week, we can also expect snow in the higher elevations.

High temperatures will be in the 50’s and upper 40’s for most today, with lows tonight in the 30s and upper 20’s.
