Authorities near Worland say a controlled burn in strong wind got out of control Sunday.
The land-owner said he was burning piles of foliage on their property and thought the fire was properly extinguished.
According to Worland Fire Department Chief Chris Kocher, high winds caused the fire to spread to a deck, then a house. There were no injuries in the blaze.
The National Weather Service reported gusts up to 59 mph Sunday.
