Construction near Sunset Drive to extend left-turn restrictions on North Federal Boulevard in Riverton

The $13.96 million North Federal Boulevard project in Riverton is moving closer to Sunset Drive, and left-turn restrictions are scheduled to begin at Sunset Drive on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
“Traffic control will change at Sunset Drive on Wednesday, so we will eliminate left-hand turns at Sunset Drive,” said Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer Robert Scheidemantel of Riverton. “We understand this will be inconvenient for drivers, but our work zone is shrinking as we work toward the conclusion of 2018 work on North Federal Boulevard.”

All work is dependent upon favorable weather.
“Drivers on North Federal are asked to avoid making left-hand turns in the work zone, and to please slow down. The speed limit inside the work zone is 20 mph,” Scheidemantel said.
Citizens and businesses are reminded of the weekly public meeting at 10 a.m. every Thursday in Riverton City Hall.
