It’s official! As of yesterday morning, the Local Food Hub received its license for the soon-to-be Community Kitchen, located at the former Airport Cafe.
Getting the kitchen certified is a big step for the Riverton Local Food Hub. Individuals will now be able to prepare their goods in a Certified Kitchen, allowing them to sell their products to a wider market. Learn more about the Community Kitchen here.
The 2nd “spoke hub” as they call it, will launch this Wednesday, October 2nd with the opening of the Local Food Exchange, by Jack Schmidt. The cafe is a key component to the Hub’s plan to grow Fremont County’s local food industry.

The Local Food Exchange will offer a light menu 6 days/week and each dish will be made with locally-sourced ingredients, whenever possible. Future plans for the Exchange include retail food items made by locals, such as jams/jellies, jarred pickles, honey, and more.
The Local Food Exchange will debut this Wednesday from 6a – 2p with coffee by Brown Sugar Coffee Roastery and freshly baked cinnamon rolls by Dave and Tina Martin.
