Come to Lander City Park this Saturday from 9 to 11:30 am to peruse and purchase local produce, products, and art at the Lander Valley Farmers Market!

A big thank you to our sponsor Wyoming Community Bank for bringing you this content.

Among this week’s harvest and artistic finds will be artisan bread (including cheesy grits sourdough, cranberry walnut sourdough, rustic and sunflower rye), pizza dough, cookies, raspberries, gladiolas, cucumbers, zucchini bread, Swiss chard, onions, and peppers.

Cherries are also currently available at the market. Here’s an easy way to pit your own cherries without a commercial pitter.

    1. Remove the stem.
    2. Place the cherry right-side-up on the top of an empty bottle.
    3. Push on the top (where the pit used to be) with a chopstick until the pitfalls into the bottle.

Save the Date! The Lander Valley Farmers Market is teaming up with CWC and Wind River Farm to Plate for the Harvest Party and Local Food Week. The Harvest Party takes place on Saturday, Sept. 12, and kicks off Local Food Week, which is September 12 to 15. These events will include family fun and educational demonstrations and presentations. Stay tuned for more information…

Do you want to get involved with the market? LVFM is seeking two volunteers per week to help out. It’s a really fun way to spend a Saturday morning. For more information, or to sign up, visit Lander Connected at https://app.vomo.org/project/5ed5131bcb413.

    See you Saturday!
