Two Colorado residents died in a crash in southern Wyoming Friday just after midnight.
49-year-old Leserio Garcia of Windsor, Colorado and his 10-year-old daughter Payton Garcia Edman were both killed.
The accident occurred near Walcott Junction on I-80 when the car the two were traveling in rear-ended a truck that had stopped on the highway.
Wyoming Highway Patrol says that the man was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.
His daughter was wearing a seatbelt, but both died at the scene. WHP says they’re investigating whether alcohol use and driver fatigue were contributing factors.
