(Lander, WY) – 1330 KOVE AM / 107.7 FM’s Coffee Time host Vince Tropea recently sat down with Fremont County School District (FCSD) #1 Superintendent Dr. Dave Barker, and Community Relations Coordinator/Parent Liaison Matt Jacobson, where a number of topics were discussed.
Barker and Jacobson filled us in the efforts the District has made to keep kids in school, the benefits of the social emotional learning styles promoted in the “Seven Mindsets,” and they also gave the details on the upcoming Family Engagement Night.
The Family Engagement Night will take place tomorrow, Thursday, December 9th at the Pathfinder High School gym, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
The Engagement Night will be mostly for Pre K-5 students and their parents, with activities including:
- Bingo cards
- Christmas Crafts
- A SAMHSA- Project Aware presentation
- Preschool providers
- Cupcakes
- STEM booths
- An Eagle Whistle presentation
- Reading chair with board member
- Books and Bingo
There will even possibly be a pie toss that Superintendent Barker may have been “volunteered for,” (schedule permitting).
