Coffee Time: Alan O’Hashi chats about premiering new film ‘The Arapaho Covered Wagon Redux’ & launch of new book ‘Libby Flats

    (Lander, WY) – The KOVE 1330 AM / 107.7 FM Today in the 10 interview series Coffee Time continued today with host Vince Tropea, who recently spoke with documentarian and author Alan O’Hashi.

    O’Hashi will be in Lander for two presentations as a part of the the Lander Pioneer Museum and Wyoming Community Bank’s 2024 Discovery Speaker Series.

    The first will be the Wyoming debut of “The Arapaho Covered Wagon Redux,” which retells the 1923 silent film “The Covered Wagon,” with a new soundtrack, recorded by the Northern Arapaho Eagle Society (led by Michael Ridgebear and the Boulder Symphony & Music Academy led by Music Director Devin Patrick Hughes).


    The screening, which will take place in the livery stable on June 3 at 7 p.m., is two hours, and will be followed by a Q and A session with O’Hashi and Northern Arapaho Tribal representatives.

    Then on Tuesday, June 4, O’Hashi will be giving a talk about his new novel “Libby Flats,” which takes place in Wyoming, in the Main Museum at 7 p.m.
