Cheyenne police capture puppy thieves, reunited dogs with owners

(Cheyenne, WY) – The Cheyenne Police Department assisted two of their community’s cutest residents last weekend.

A report from CPD described that on Saturday, November 27th officers were notified that two puppies were being sold in a business parking lot on Windmill Road. The caller believed the dogs had been stolen.

Officers arrived in the area to find that the suspicious puppy-sellers had quickly left the scene.

After confirming the two dogs were indeed stolen, a CPD officer initiated a traffic stop on Dell Range Boulevard. During the stop, the officer noticed two puppies matching the description of the stolen canines in the back of a truck.

Officers took the dogs into possession and they were safely returned to their owner. The theft investigation continues.
