Dr. Daniel Bender is a graduate of The University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He obtained his medical degree at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee, with an internship year at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City. His Family Medicine residency was completed at East Liverpool City Hospital in Ohio and its affiliated Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Bender has a particular interest in the care of medically complex patients and finding the most up to date, evidence-based recommendations. He believes that every patient and his/her family is different, with unique needs. Dr. Bender’s goal in his practice is to design an individual treatment plan to help each one of his patients achieve the best outcome possible.
He promotes shared and mutual decision-making: “My patients are given the opportunity to express their values and preferences and to strongly participate in decisions about their care.”
Dr. Bender also has an interest in point of care ultrasound (POCUS), and he is learning how to use portable ultrasound to make clinical decisions at the bedside. He is currently studying for the FM board certification exam and plans to be ABFM board certified in 2021.
In his off time, he enjoys playing jazz and blues on his piano and spending time outside.
Dr. Bender is accepting new patients at our Riverton Community Health Center location at 1035 Rose Ln.
