Press Release by Central Wyoming Athletics

(Riverton, WY) – CWC Golfers teed off the second half of the 2021-22 season. Playing at the Spreading Antlers Golf Course in Lamar, Colorado, the Rustler Women picked up where they left off winning once again.

The Central women won every golf event in the fall portion of the season and were nearly 100 strokes in front of Otero in winning this last weekend.

On the men’s side, Dominic Yates led the way finishing eighth. Trevor Berry tied for nineteenth. The men’s team was fourth as Eastern Wyoming College topped the standings.

Interim Head Golf Coach Jorden James was happy with the first outing, “All around the board, everyone did some great things this weekend. It was windy and cold, but everyone battled hard though the weather. With the amount of golf that we have been able to play this spring not everyone played to their full potential. However, I am excited moving forward now that some of that rust has been shaken off.”

The Rustlers make another long road trip Thursday and Friday to Otero College in La Junta, Colorado for competition this week. CWC will host their own invite in late April at the Riverton Country Club.
