    Central basketball falls to Western Community College

    (Riverton, WY) – Central Rustler basketball teams braved the weather over South Pass Wednesday for league games with Western Wyoming.

    The women’s team trailed Western by double digits most of the game.  They brought the game back to within five but fell short 63 to 57.   Sophomore Alex Terrazas scored a career high 26 in the loss hitting five three pointers. Ivana Bijic added 15 with 10 from Liv Knapp.  The Lady Rustlers are 5 and 19 overall, 1 and 7 in league play. The loss leaves them with a split on the year with Western and tied for the fifth seed in the North Conference.

    In the Men’s game,  Western outscored Central 29 to 15 in the middle portion of the game and pulled away from Central in a 75 to 65 win.   The men fall to 8 and 15 overall, 1 and 7 in league play. The final two conference games for both teams will be vs Northwest on Saturday and Monday.

    The Rustlers are home Saturday for the final time this season.    The women’s team will recognize four sophomores while the men honor nine.   Games are at 2 and 4 Saturday hosting Northwest College.
