Carlos lived in Idaho for a short time and attended Tyhee Elementary and made two great friends who today – still take him as a brother, Josh Mendez and Curtis Hevewah.

Carlos returned to Wyoming and graduated from Lander Valley High School.

Carlos soon started working at the Shoshone Rose as a slot technician, Wind River Casino as a card dealer, and returned to the Shoshone Rose as a security guard. He also worked for Shakespeare Oil Service.

Carlos loved being around people, he had the best sense of humor, he loved to talk smack when it came to his Denver Broncos.
Anytime he could spend time with his brothers or sisters he made every effort to be there. Whether it was football games, basketball games, spartan races, graduations, birthdays; he loved them dearly.

He loved his grandparents and was always there for his grandmother, Mary Jane.

Carlos became interested in playing softball, pool and took up refereeing. There he became a part of another whole family. He traveled whenever he could to play and came back with more friends. He wasn’t shy to talk to people and started teasing with them like he knew them all his life. He always acknowledged people saying “what’s up or a simple head nod.”

Although many people loved him, he had one true love, his daughter. He would move heaven and earth to be with her. Everyone knew of her, knew her name, knew the love he had for her: he always talked about her, posted about her. He was the best father to her and never went a day without talking about her or thinking about her. He has a son, Shoni who he named after his best friend’s brother. He often talked about his son Shoni and knew he was well taken care of but always appreciated any pictures he received.
