Pumpkins were carved, chili was eaten, balloons were popped, art was made and so much more September 26th at the Riverton Harvest Festival.
There were many great events and activities, I know the County 10 and neighboring booths were hoppin’ with kiddos winning prizes! There was even the opportunity to throw an axe and pet two raccoons, Oakley and Bandit.
Winners of the 2020 Pumpkin Carving/Decorating Competition were Blue and Bob. Guest judges were Riverton Mayor Richard Gard, June Bailey, and Riverton Police Department Chief Eric Murphy. Unfortunately, Bob was not there for a photo. Funds raised from this event go to the CATS Museum.

The Chili Cook-off and Feed had 14 competitors. Winning the “Judge’s Choice Award” was Kimberly Hummel, and winning the “People’s Choice Award” was Carol Harper. Winners were not there in-person this evening. Proceeds from the feed will go to a local charity selected by the DOES.
Also raising money today was the American Legion Post 19 who were selling burgers and brats.
Though windy, it was a busy day on Riverton’s Main Street and side streets.
