Black bear euthanized in Bighorn National Forest

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department have euthanized a black bear near Sibley Lake campground in the Bighorn National Forest.

The bear had been feeding off of human food, including hot dogs.

Wildlife managers estimated the bear to be 4-5 years old. It was trapped and euthanized Sunday morning.

The bear had been in the campground Friday evening and Saturday night.

Wildlife managers believe the same bear was in the same campground earlier in July, and think it was in the Prune Creek campground area last Wednesday and Thursday eating cookies and sausages left out by campers.
